Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to share with you the Call for Papers for the Sixteenth International Conference on e-Learning & Innovative Pedagogies, hosted by the University of Malta, Malta, 13-14 April 2023.
The e-Learning & Innovative Pedagogies Research Network is brought together around a common concern for new technologies in learning and an interest to explore possibilities for innovative pedagogies. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary geographic and cultural boundaries.

A Blended Conference
You can present and/or attend as an In-Person Blended or Online Only delegate. Our blended model seeks to transcend physical boundaries by offering a platform to extend in-person conference content online while ensuring online-only delegates are afforded participatory and experiential spaces within the platform. At the same time, the model offers participants a legacy resource to which they can return in the Event application, with access to a social space in our Community application where fellow participants can keep connected long after the conference ends.
With this step-by-step guide, you can get an insight into the new phases pre/during/post-conference of the blended conference experience.
Social Events
In-Person Blended Valletta Walking Tour
Founded in 1566, Valletta is Malta’s capital city and is one of Europe’s smallest (and southern-most) capital cities, with many buildings having a strong Baroque character. Despite its small size, Valletta is packed with sites of historical significance, with buildings dating back to the 16th century. So much so that it’s been an officially listed UNESCO World Heritage site since 1980. Valletta is regarded by many as an open-air museum! With its imposing fortifications and bastions, amazing baroque palaces, marvellous churches, gorgeous gardens, and beautiful architecture ranging from mid-16th century baroque to modernism, Valletta is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary and charming cities you will ever visit.
In-Person Blended Conference Closing Reception
Common Ground Research Networks will hold a closing reception at the University of Malta - Valletta Campus directly following the Conference Closing and Award Ceremony. Join other delegates and plenary speakers to enjoy drinks and light hors d'oeuvres.
Companion Journal
All presenters are also encouraged to submit their paper to the companion journal, Ubiquitous Learning: An International Journal. Find out more about the journal and submission process.
