Dear Colleague,

With the COVD-19 crisis, 2020 has taken an unexpected turn for academics around the world. Many find themselves currently in physical isolation, having to move online and work from home.

Common Ground Research Networks is a not-for-profit public benefit corporation located in the Research Park at the University of Illinois. Founded in 1984, we were created by academics, for academics.

At Common Ground, we have for some time been building an infrastructure to support virtual conferences and online research networks.

In these times of unprecedented challenge, Common Ground offers a number of ways we can connect:

1. Participate in a Virtual Conference

Although some of our upcoming in-person conferences have been postponed, we have a robust virtual presentation format. We encourage you to submit virtual presentation proposals to one of our conferences and register to attend virtually.

View the Conference Calendar

To submit a proposal, first click on the conference you are interested in, then click “Call for Papers.”

2. Join a Research Network

Become a member of one of our Research Networks. Benefits of the membership include:

  • Author Benefit - Members have the opportunity to publish one journal article in the corresponding network, if accepted by two-way anonymous peer review.
  • eBook Subscription - A one-year personal electronic subscription to the book imprint of the Research Network.
  • eJournal Subscription - A one-year personal electronic subscription to the journal or journal collection of the Research Network.
